Similar to the season of Fall, there is just something about this season in New England. During warmer months I often go back to my favorite spots, eat the lobster rolls and quahogs I crave so much and embrace all the nostalgia of being home. This trip, we wanted to have night away before life gets a little busier, and although I did a brief search in Newport or Block Island, we landed on The Stone House Inn thanks to a family recommendation. The Inn was originally a private residence built in 1854 and recently went through 12 million dollars worth of renovations – it is an historic beauty. As Rhode Islanders, we don’t make it to farther part of the states (after all, the state is small so we don’t love long distances) ;). However, I was so looking forward to exploring the small, picturesque farming town of Little Compton.
