Although I have written about five experiences to have on Jekyll Island, I thought I would put together some ideas for visiting Jekyll Island with a toddler. One of the Golden Isles, it can be enjoyed in every season. We often head there in the winter, and you all know I love destinations in the off-season. Especially in the south, because you never know what surprise nice weather you could receive. Where to stay on Jekyll Island with a toddler If you are staying with kids, I highly recommend the Home 2 Suites by Hilton. We have stayed their two years in a row, and the suite set-up with a small kitchen is ideal for families. You are close enough to walk to the beach and your stay may be more affordable, as well. I held off writing this post because every kid is SO different. Moments of defeat after a travel day kept me unsure I was the right person to get advice from. With that said, here are some ideas and items that have helped me when traveling with a toddler (s). Although remember, as mentioned before, you know your kid best – their schedule, what they love and what they need. Tips for traveling with a toddler: 1. Consider their schedule For us, we want to save money, but we also want our sanity. So if a flight that doesn’t land super late, or leave incredibly early is not TOO much more – we do it.
