A city that is filled with history, great places to eat, wonderful streets to walk though and the perfect place for a fun getaway or romantic night out. There are numerous things to do in St. Augustine (Alligator Farm, trolley rides, and multiple shops) but here is the perfect combination for a lovely (simple) evening in America’s oldest city. Spanish architecture, hand-crafted cocktails, a history lesson, and home-made ice cream will accompany you on this post of my Jax date series. Jax Date Series: Savoring St. Augustine St. Augustine Distillery Trust the yelp review or trust me that this tour is amazing! The history of the building (now a restored ice plant and powerplant) as well as all the free tastings is a perfect way to start an evening in St. Augustine. They allow you to soak in the history, community and the passion of the work they do to create the best spirits possible. If you are heading to the Ice Plant for drinks before 6PM, grab a coupon for $2 at the distillery! Dinner & Drinks at Ice Plant Bar Ice Plant has been on my list for awhile and they did not disappoint. Since they believe […]

Ohhh dreamy St. Augustine. From your historical textured buildings to your pretty painted walls – how am I just visiting you? I have loved getting to know my new city of Jacksonville, but that is in part thanks to our neighboring (and our Nation’s oldest city) St. Augustine! I’ve been able to explore the Jacksonville coffee scene, and now continue to search for St. Augustine coffee shops. In all dreamy far off places, adorable and well roasted coffee usually (and hopefully) reside. From a small Australian style cafe to an in house studio/coffee house collaboration – St. Augustine is a coffee lovers dream. Don’t get me wrong – I am not a local or native (and clearly not a St. Augustine expert). But I know a beautiful coffee shop when I see one and know a solid cup of roasted beans when I taste one. These five St. Augustine coffee shops I am sure will grow into a large coffee guide one day, but for now I suggest these for your next trip. Five St. Augustine Coffee Shops to check out 1/ The Kookaburra Google Maps Pin Australian style cafe (my personal favorite type of cafe to grab coffee). […]
