Ohhh dreamy St. Augustine. From your historical textured buildings to your pretty painted walls – how am I just visiting you? I have loved getting to know my new city of Jacksonville, but that is in part thanks to our neighboring (and our Nation’s oldest city) St. Augustine! I’ve been able to explore the Jacksonville coffee scene, and now continue to search for St. Augustine coffee shops.

In all dreamy far off places, adorable and well roasted coffee usually (and hopefully) reside. From a small Australian style cafe to an in house studio/coffee house collaboration – St. Augustine is a coffee lovers dream.

Don’t get me wrong – I am not a local or native (and clearly not a St. Augustine expert). But I know a beautiful coffee shop when I see one and know a solid cup of roasted beans when I taste one. These five St. Augustine coffee shops I am sure will grow into a large coffee guide one day, but for now I suggest these for your next trip.

Five St. Augustine Coffee Shops to check out

1/ The Kookaburra

Australian style cafe (my personal favorite type of cafe to grab coffee). Order a Cortado at one of their 4 locations (soon to be five).

2/ City Perks Coffee

Spacious inside and outside seating area that looks out to the historic and stunning Castillo de San Marcos. You will enjoy their smooth tasting coffee as well as the views.

3/ Juniper Market

Locally sourced prepared foods, coffee and baked goods live in this spacious and aestichally pleasing cafe. This historic home was re-done as this cafe alongside Jenna Alexander’s studio whose art adores the wall and has items for sale. I recently picked up 5 beautiful blank cards as well as an iced tea. The perfect place to start your day and walking distance to downtown St. Augustine.

4/ Relámpago Coffee Lab

Large outside seating set inside a quaint old home in St. Augustine, Relámpago is appropriately called the “Lab” as they experiment and embrace finding new practices when roasting beans. I personally have tried their chai tea and can’t wait to go back and try that specialty coffee and their delicious pour overs.

5/ Dreamboat Coffee

Sip and snack on cold brew, ice cream sandwiches and floats in this cafe that is perfectly tucked away on St. George street. A perfect place to cool off and rest from walking all around downtown for a few minutes.
