As my love for travel has grown, so has my passion for documenting the hotel stays that always keep design top of mind. Boutique hotels that care for every detail, those that tell a story and whose aesthetic inspires me in my everyday life. Especially as I decorate a new home myself, I find myself pulling from past hotels (especially as I dabble into more color).

Before visiting a new city or town, I often find myself searching for the perfect place that I can capture. Here are a few hotels I hope to one day book and explore in the future. While writing this post, my eyes were open to so many impeccably curated hotels – but for now, keeping this list to ones closer to Jax.

Hotel Simone

St. Simons Island

An adults-only luxury hotel on a quaint Island for the perfect laid-back and relaxing break. I love that the hotel is small, intimate and has a darling rooftop pool. The location is ideal for exploring all St Simons Island has to offer as well.

The Alida Hotel

Savannah, GA

The Alida has a wonderful modern design with warm touches throughout their room and has a gorgeous pool to escape the Georgia heat. Savannah will forever be one of my favorite southern cities. My slow weekend guide to Savannah is a perfect place to go for a relaxed visit as well.

Another hotel on St. Simons, perfect for a girls getaway or in our case, bringing our little one along for a family vacation. Visit my weekend guide to St. Simons Island if you are looking for things to do.

Emeline

Charleston, SC

Emeline is pretty high on my list as I have recently discovered their space and dining. The rich colors as well as history makes it the perfect Charleston stay. If you have been following me for awhile you know that any hotel that houses their own coffee spot is certainly attractive. As I embrace the slower ways of travel, wandering close by to have my morning ritual at their Clerks Coffee Company is ideal.

White Elephant

Palm Beach, FL

As a native New Englander, I was thrilled to discover White Elephant. First there was White Elephant Nantucket, and now – my current home state of Florida. Contemporary, colorful and a perfect vibe for South Florida.

The Ryder

Charleston, SC

The details and coastal feel of this modern boutique hotel is pure perfection. The Little Palm Bar is everything you need for your Charleston pool bar visit complete with a cocktail and mocktail menu.

The Betsy South Beach

Miami, FL

You can sign me up for the penthouse because the view is remarkable…but happy to know they have suites (perfect for families). The Betsy was built in 1942 and American troops were among its first guests. If you are a Florida or Georgia resident, they have a deal just for you as well.

The Meridan

Miami, FL

Their simple pool design first caught my eye, followed by the eclectic antique suitcase lobby bay and finally, the minimalist and monochromic room design.

The Plymouth South Beach

Miami, FL

Pops of pink, striped umbrellas and an epic pool oozes a Miami aestihic and The Plymouth has just that. You can Get 15% OFF your stay as FL, GA or AL resident.

Is Miami just the cream of the crop when it comes to boutique hotels? They certainly have quite the resume and I may need to stay in a new place every night – we can call it a hotel crawl?

I hope this leaves you inspired to take some weekend trips full of creativity, design and art.

Which one are you heading to?
