The first time I visited Savannah, we were able to see, eat and do so much. Brunch at Collins Quarter, Stroll around Forysnth park and we tried to squeeze in delicious dinners, drinks and coffee spots. When we returned for only one night, I felt less eager to do everything (due to time restraints) but also wanted slower mornings and one fantastic dinner. When seeing Savannah, especially for the first time, it is understandable to hope and accomplish all the sights and tastes you wish. If you are looking for a more relaxed way to see the city I hope this is helpful. Feel free to visit my post, a quick guide to a weekend in Savannah (for first-timers), that has more recommendations. Where to stay for a slow weekend in Savannah Choosing the hotel for a relaxing weekend is key (in my opinion) to enjoying a city. One that has an amazing dining option, rooftop drinks or the perfect spot for morning coffee that feels like home, is ideal. Thankfully, Savannah has amazing hotels full of design and character. Perry Lane Hotel A stunning choice with a view of the steepled skyline on their rooftop bar (Peregrin), as […]

A city drenched in design, elaborate dinner spots, picturesque parks and a place that I can’t wait to visit again. Home of SCAD (Savannah College of Design), it is no wonder you can find beautiful interiors, quaint coffee spots and the perfect places to sip on your hot beverage of choice. Savannah coffee shops have something for everyone who explores their historic streets. Perc Coffee Google Maps Location It only makes sense to start this list off with Perc as you will find a few Savannah coffee shops on this list use them as a roaster. Bringing you two stellar locations in Atlanta as well as a great space in Savannah to set up shop and read, be productive or simply enjoy whatever you choose from the menu. This hip spot is a great one to start the day. The Coffee Fox Google Maps Location This little shop is perfect for a mid-morning pick me up as you walk Broughton Street. With locally roasted Perc coffee, craft beer and pastries – you can’t go wrong grabbing something from the Coffee Fox. Loved their oat milk iced latte. Coffee Bar at the Drayton Hotel Google Maps Location A darling Coffee […]

There is nothing quite like planning a stay in a new city from where you choose to dine, sip coffee, and most importantly, where you stay. Willing to entertain some tourist norms (like Forsyth Park or ordering a flat white from the Collins Quarter), I also wanted to have a unique stay that did the beautiful southern city of Savannah justice. A location that places you in the heart of the historic district and brings the feel of the city in their decor while making your stay feel right at home. From their stunning rooftop pool to their astounding curated local art – the Perry Lane Hotel has created the perfect place to hang your hat while in Savannah. Not to mention – I need all their furniture in my house immediately. Checking in at the Perry Lane Hotel From the moment I checked in, I knew that Perry Lane Hotel would be the highlight of my weekend getaway in Savannah. I barely stepped into the lobby as they offered me water or champagne while my reservation was completed. The first ever Luxury Collection hotel in Savannah easily shows you the elegance and charm of the city surrounding the […]
