Pairing a thrifted blouse with a quality basic

I am not sure how many cups of coffee I am going to need to get through the end of this week post Christmas break, but it may be a lot. Even through the tired mornings I am so happy to have had time on the east coast with family – I always feel inspired being around them! I also am super excited to remix my closet in a challenging way, but more on that later!

On to this sweater vest…do you ever try on something that you know you will wear over and over again so it is worth your money? That was me in the dressing room wearing this sweater vest (with pockets, obviously). If you are an avid thrift shopper like myself, sometimes your closet is filled with lots of worn, used clothing (which is great) but you are lacking some quality basics to pair all your great finds with. Finding versatile items is key to sustaining your beautifully worn thrifted treasures!

The blouse I thrifted awhile ago is long enough with leggings and also professional enough to wear to work – the bonus? It matches my favorite glasses perfectly! If you are in need of affordable and stylish glasses, check out Warby Parker.

This Navy Blue top has the cutest tie “feature” at the top and I would often wear it by itself and not style it any other way. The vest makes it comfy while adding an extra layer and dynamic to the outfit. I will be pairing this vest with many more outfits, especially in these cooler months 🙂

Any other basic you find are a MUST HAVE this winter? I would love some more ideas!

Love always,
