Hello from Spain! It feels like forever ago I posted about our move and even though it has been a slow process to be acclimated and settled we have enjoyed exploring our surroundings.

The town of Rota, Spain is beautiful, a hidden gem in the off seasons (the summer crowds from inner Spain cities is upon us). We love that it is low key, yet has so much to offer. The scenery, views and family friendly atmosphere make the town a perfect fit for our lifestyle.

Rota has different facets to it, from the old city accompanied by a castle and historic church, to a coastal downtown filled with cafes, dinner spots and gorgeous beaches.

We have enjoyed sunny mornings getting churros dipped in chocolate, mimosas and coffee looking out to the water. The hanging flower pots and beautiful flower arrangements everywhere you look were the perfect welcome for us. Spring is such a beautiful time here – the weather is currently divine!

I am looking forward to being settled, frequenting my ‘usual’ coffee and pastry shops, while discovering new places in our home. Although we hope and plan to see a lot of Europe, we are excited to really see Spain and Portugal. I love that we can explore much more than the tourist spots, and go to places a bit overlooked.

Enjoy some photos and postcards below:

Best,

Katherine
