European summer is about to be in full swing, and they are projecting a large number of tourists to visit all that it has to offer. I hope this packing list for Portugal is helpful if you are headed to Europe this season. I have found that spring is perhaps the most magical time in Spain and Portugal, but I know the busiest season is upon us. A packing list for Portugal can be quite simple – portofino shirts, linen dresses, comfortable shoes, a bathing suit and a hat to protect against that strong sun. I have tried the last few months to really hone in on packing less, trying on outfits helps with this. Also, always check the weather right before your trip! For the most part, this is what I packed and wore on our weekend trip to Tavira – I will link what I can, but I prefer for this to be inspiration, a loose guide and encouragement to shop your own closet or thrift your own pieces! A Packing list for Portugal: Tops: White Tank Top | Orange Portofino Top | Blue & White Striped Portofino Top | Black linen button down Dresses: Blue Oversized […]

I often overpack for trips, or don’t get it quite right at times. Thanks to flowy dresses and simplicity, packing has been easier the last few months (and I do love dressing the bump). Most of these bump friendly travel outfits are non-maternity (which is ideal), so I hope everyone finds a little inspiration. Blue button down dress This dress may be one of my best purchases this summer- especially if you live in a place with a more temperate summer. When I went home to Rhode Island this summer, the weather was perfect for it! It drapes well and is perfect for a coastal vacation. If you are pregnant or nursing – I highly recommend this dress. White Dress and Birkenstocks I wore my brikenstocks more when I was traveling often in Asia – they are a comfortable shoe and good quality. This is a similar pair to mine. A very simple outfit that you can easily recreate with items you have and a flowly white dress is a staple for bump friendly summer travel outfits. Perfect for a day of sightseeing in a warmer place and you can always swap them out for sneakers. Simple Black Dress […]

My first blog post from Japan! Finally! I have somewhat put it off but also wanted to figure out what it would look like now being here. I still want to inspire to thrift/shop ethically, outfit inspo and a lot of coffee and travel. It also is a good way to update my friends and fam about some of my favorite memories in new cities! Of course, I am starting to make my list of coffee shops/places to eat and Tokyo has really surprised me. I wasn’t exactly sure what their coffee scene would be – and guess what? They rock. Shame on me for questioning! I am so ready to try them all (although I keep discovering new ones) Between pinterest, google searching, other bloggers and social media my list of places to explore keeps growing! I am more than OK with this dilemma 😉 Thanks to social media, I saw someone had been to Camelback sandwich and espresso and it looked adorable so it was one of the first on my list! I stroke out TWICE with both times being closed. Luckily, I discovered a new gem, called Apple and Ginger (their drinks are a must if you love […]

Rumor has it I may be spending some time in Tokyo in the near future, so as I buy new items I keep thinking to myself - would I look super cool and fit into Japanese street style? Ok, so I only thought of that buying this sweatshirt but honestly the velvet, colors and color blocking are just too perfect.

It may be February 14th, but spring is truly beginning in San Diego, so velvet and flannels may be taking a back seat very soon. As I am in the process of purging my closet for my capsule wardrobe, I realize more and more how many clothes I don't wear, yet I always say I have "nothing to wear." How is that?

Winter time is here! Ok, well not OFFICIALLY but the number of holiday parties that will come your way you may need to plan your outfits early, and you most likely will need more than one. And with each outfit, there is money to spend (even with all the holiday deals)! So let me give you some thrifted inspired holiday outfits starting with this maxi I had in my closet and a thrifted gold sparkly top. Sequins and sparkles are not something I wear all the time (pretty sweet if you do though) so not investing in a new piece just for one time of the year is IDEAL.

SCARF SEASON. Is there a better one? I am pretty sure my wallet starts shaking as soon as fall clothes come out. It is so tempting to buy every rust colored sweater, every camel colored bootie and every bomber jacket. Good thing for my thrift fashionistas - sweaters are always a good buy at thrift shops! I will try and show some thrift items that are fall friendly and will give your wallet a break.
