It is OFFICIALLY October and I could not be more excited (Like everyone else) for all things cooler weather and pumpkin flavored. Trader Joes Autumn items are in full swing and local coffee shops are rolling out there delicious Fall specials. It is that time of year in Florida where the mornings are cooler so I head early to one of my favorite outdoor spots and sip on warm coffee and a season inspired delicacy. If you are in Jax and hoping to savor crisp mornings with an Apple Cardamon Latte, read on.

As always, it is important to maintain social distancing and wearing a mask while ordering! Thankful these small businesses can remain open as we continue to keep our safety and others in mind.

Community Loaves

Their new location has a wonderful array of outdoor seating – from picnic tables in the lawn to small tables tucked away towards the back. Their pumpkin spiced oat milk lattes are one of my favorites (that is saying a lot) and it is a perfect pairing for their pumpkin tart.

Vagabond Coffee

Going beyond just the everyday pumpkin spiced latte, Vagabond also has a Cardamon Apple Latte. For those who prefer something iced – try their “Florida Fall” drink – sparkling chai with Apple Cardamon Syrup (you can even add a shot of espresso if you need an extra boost).

1748 Bakehouse

Another amazing bakery on the list. Their Autumn flavors are out of this world. Try a Pumpkin Cheesecake muffin or Apple Cheesecake pastry. They have two adorable tables outside to enjoy main street while you eat and sip on coffee.

Brass Tacks Coffee

This coffee shop is serving up so.many. flavors. From Oatmeal Cookie to White Pumpkin as well as Pumpkin Chai. Their fall menu is extensive and full of warm autumn beverages to get you excited for the cooler weather that is coming our way! Plus they have a drive-thru to grab a quick pick-up and maintain your social distance.

Good Dough

Every month Good Dough rolls out a new menu and the October menu does not disappoint. Booberry Lemon Sugar Cookie, Spooky Candy Corn Bark, Pumpkin Cake and Apple Cider Old-Fashioned are perfect for the Fall and Halloween season.

Sweet Theory

If you are in the need for gluten free baked goods like a Pineapple Glazed Carrot Loaf or a Salted Caramel Pumpkin cupcake – this small bakery in Riverside is your spot. Take it to go and enjoy it by Memorial Park along the river.

Sago Coffee

Another coffee shop serving up more than the typical Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Their lineup includes a Spiced Apple Cider and Maple Leaf Latte as well (add a pumpkin donut on the side too because tis the season for pumpkin).

Love always,

Katherine
