Happy Friday! Last weekend was St. Patrick’s and I tried to get a post out but wasn’t able to completely finish. My “Into the Weekend” blog posts are just for fun, to share some recent finds or travel aspirations.

Thank you for being here!

Did you know that Savannah is the one of the best cities to be on St. Patrick’s? I always think of Chicago – it is iconic seeing the gorgeous buildings of the Windy City surrounding the bright green river. I lived there for college for 4 years, yet I never saw it in person because it was ALWAYS over Spring Break.

Savannah is one of my favorite weekend getaways from Jacksonville. I curated this slow guide to Savannah, GA if you are looking for a relaxing trip indulging in the food scene and cozy, boutique hotels. Maybe just not during the crowded St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Travel

Speaking of slow travel, I love that approach to seeing a new place. I know it is becoming the “trendy” thing to do, but that isn’t a bad thing. Having kids forces you at times to take this route, not hoping from one tourist hot spot to the next. It’s a calming way to see a new destination.

If you are heading to Orlando and want to skip Disney, I have this slow guide to the central Florida city.

This article has me eager to visit Paris in the Spring (I have a feeling all seasons are wonderful in Paris).

I am visiting my home state of Rhode Island and I am excited to try out this winery not too far from where I grew up.

A place in Europe that has been on my radar…Matera, France. I found this guide, and I am adding it to my “want to visit” list. Although, that list seems to be getting quite long.

We purchased this travel 3-in-1 convertable carseat for a lot of travel this year. I posted on traveling with a toddler and infant this week, incase you missed it.

Ready for Spring…? (Inspiration & Recent Purchases

As mentioned before, spring is inspriing me in ways it hasn’t before – strictly neutrals don’t seem to suit me as much as before. I like most pieces in basic colors to build an outfit (helps if I want a capsule packing list or wardrobe in general) but dabbing in more color accessories.

I bought this green dress and it is perfect for warmer months – I LOVE the color.

Although I first ordered this shirt in white, I returned for the blue and white stripe. I am determined to thrift a white one (so I won’t feel bad for stains and they should be easy to find).

Portofino shirts are the layer to have in warmer months and Pinterest has me eyeing the orange color as well for summer….

I am in need of a new white or cream hat, but I saw someone post this one in blue and I love it to add color. Madewell is also running a 25% off sale currently.

Driftaway Jewelry always has the best colors for this time of year! Her blue and green hues are perfect and these bracelets are a perfect Spring accessory wardrobe addition.

It is time to say goodbye to Isle of Paradise and start using Salty Face – I have officially been inspired to switch.

Indie Lee Toner was my go-to for awhile but I started using barefaced toner pads. They are a bit more intense, but we will see how I like them. Additionally, the Saie Glowly Gel in Sunglow and Supergoop sunscreen are a match made in sun-kissed no make-up look heaven.

Listen & Watch

The Oscars were on a few weeks agho, and the RRR performance was incredible. They won an Oscar (first Indian film to do so), so cool! I have been listening to the song nonstop….

Read

I had time to finish a book this week! It was so nice to get back to reading and I hope to continue making it a habit.

I won The Road Back to You in a giveaway and once I have the time I am looking forward to diving in!

Teen Vogue came out with an article – “Influencer Parents and the Kids who had their childhood made into content.” As parents, no one is perfect of course, but this was opening from a kids perspective.

Thanks for reading, and have a great week!

Best,

Katherine
