Taste of Jacksonville Food Tours: Savoring San Marco

To visit a new city means to stop into as many restaurant and cafes as possible (at least for me). Once I book a trip I start pinning stars all over google maps hoping I get to all of them. Even in a city I now consider my home, there are always new restaurants to experience (especially in the ever growing city of Jacksonville). Thanks to the Taste of Jacksonville Food Tours, those that live and visit the large sprawling city of Jax can sample San Marco area restaurants over the course of the afternoon.

Experience

We followed our email instructions, and all met behind the San Marco Library where we introduced each other, discussed our favorite foods and started the tour. Before we started the tour we were given name tags, water bottles and a koozie (big koozie fans over here). The tour guides also brought along a few umbrellas in case it rained during our day. Their tours happen whether it is rain or shine but they were prepared and had such a positive attitude!

This Jacksonville Food Tour was an amazing walking tour and our guides were so insightful along the way when it came to the history of the city. Again, only 9 months living in Jax there is still so much for me to learn! I really appreciated all the facts and private little walking tour they provided. You could tell they have such a passion for what they do. They are food tour experts themselves, and decided to start their own in the city they love!

Price

The price is $49.99 per person and includes 5 locations for various tastings of bites and drinks! Their partners include: Green Earth Bistro, Good Dough Artisan Doughnuts, Bold Bean Coffee Roasters, Seafood Island Bar & Grille, Ajeen and Juice, and Peterbrooke San Marco! You will be able to have tastes and sips from 5 of their partners and all the stops are planned perfectly. They know when people will want to eat something light along the tour, and end with something sweet!

Even the foodie spots I have visited before I tried new things I would never have thought to order. I already am ready to head back to Good Dough for their Fried Chicken Doughwich. Looking at you Chicken and Waffle fans! Words cannot describe how delicious this was and my husband and I rave about it often – our visitors now know where we will be taking them to breakfast during their time in Jax.

This tour is for the locals and tourists alike – truly providing something for everyone.

Jacksonville Food Tours are a great way to spend a few hours in San Marco and if you’re like me and instantly want to try food a new city offers – this should be on your list!
